Lipstick and Lust
My kitty curses out SHA folks, still looking for lust, and festival hits town in a big way
by Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid - SGN A&E Writer

Ohmagawd, ohmagawd! Honey, what a weekend the last weekend in July was for this one! Me and super friend, Leah worked our little tails off as tarot readers to Capitol Hill's Block Partyers (those that weren't so concerned with 'were they wearing the right fashion', or 'does my hair look rockstarry enough?') and made enough dough so that I now own that delish 'Bullet Bra' lip gloss. You know, the stuff I wrote about (that you, my dear little rose petal can pick up at Olivine, in Ballard) in the last column and on the L&L blog. So, so yummy, and we are certainly hoping that the next time we wear it, some hot one will take interest and come back to The Digs to bebop in the sheets with Her Sexiness doncha know.

Also zipped through the Ballard Seafoodfest, on my way to buy the above mentioned lipgloss to die for, but didn't stop because didn't spot anyone worth this one's time, and didn't bring enough dollars to spend on anything but a new journal (picked that up at this new place, also in Ballard, near the Sunday Farmer's Market called Camelion Design) and some veggies at the Farmer's Market. Then, I hung out with 'le bestest friend,' Brie, helping with her move, and giggling to videos of Dane Cook that she'd downloaded from YouTube, I think. I laughed so hard my sides hurt, which got me in great headspace to do my monthly tarot gig at The Cuff, which was even more fun, as the moon was in my own sign, Aquarius.

Oh, and to the two cute grrrlz running down 15th last Sunday (the 29th) I sure wish I knew what was so exciting that you ran two blocks yelling 'I'm so excited, I'm so excited!' over and over again. Must have been something good, this one is sure! I hope I have something like that to shout to the world about soon--oh, I do, honey, I do. This one, in her ministerial role, is performing a real, true wedding in September. Yay, yay, yay! Hope I can refrain from crying, as weddings always make this little romantic get all weepy. So, yes, the Goddess must have heard this one's need for cash, and it's starting to roll in, and that means this one goes looking for ze perfect space in Tacoma, next month, and starts getting geared up to move. Dreams can come true my little squash blossoms, if you just keep on believin'!

And what did I try during all of this zipping about and lusting after those hot SPD officers in Ballard (much more interesting than the ones this one spied at The Capitol Hill Block Party!)? Well, I'm so luvin' the Athens 'Pomegrante Moisturizer' I picked up at Sephora last week, and the Fekkai 'Hair Masque' which I also got a sample of from Sephora. Both help hair and skin recover after being in the sun and at the beach, and make you look edible, trust me.

Also love the 'Egyptian Magic' healing cream. I got a sample of it from Olivine (home of not only that chic lipgloss, but Napoleon Perdis eye shadow that I'm glumming onto very soon). Made those little scratches my kitty 'Garbo' loves to give me to 'mark her territory' go away. Do try this stuff, whether for cat scratches you or other things.

Also loved the CD this one got in the mail by Elspeth Savani and Orchestra Zarabanda, 'Gallo Que Canto'. Very romantic and perfect for having a little picnic outside or inside, and for roadtrips to Renaissance Fairs (me and 'le bestest friend,' Brie are going this weekend). I particularly liked their version of 'Perhaps' and the stirring 'Silencio'. Look for this one and you won't be sorry when you find it. So, my dahlings, that's it for now, as this one has to go and work out her body so she can keep on getting those compliments and keep on having cute grrrlz and boys check out the chassis of this one. Do e-mail me at ijanaral@yahoo.com com and check out the blog at bloggerspot.com later this week (where there'll be photos aplenty, including ones from the Precinct Picnic that happened a few weeks back, as well as some from the band that played at Sureshot Café, in the U-District). And do know that Sureshot has bands on a regular basis every Sunday at 2 p.m.

A great place to scope out some hot, young things, and listen to some local, kickass jams. Buhbye for now and let's hope me and the kitties can endure the roaring sound of The Blue Angels without losing our minds! Ah, let me not forget to mention, my sweet little kitty, Zzell, felt so strongly about SHA disturbing this one's sleep last Monday, that in 'cat talk', she strode into the living room, cursing them out, followed by Garbo, who echoed her resentment and glared menacingly. Aren't cats smart, you bet they are!
